Humbly and Quietly Searching – Day 3

Atma’s lovely haven
Day three is full of nurturing activities and
nutritious foods. It’s a peaceful, gentle day full of freshness, radiant light
and clean air.  Even though Barrydale is
usually hot at this time of the year, today is a bright and cool.

Atma – my divine host and teacher – remembers
that I’m lactose intolerant, so we start the day by making organic almond milk.
The process essentially involves soaking a cup of almonds in water over night –
the longer the almonds are soaked, the creamier the milk will be.

Atma preps almond milk
We grind the soaked almonds in a heavy duty blender
with 3 cups of fresh water, vanilla powder and dates to give it natural sweetness
before throwing the entire mixture into a fine sift and strain out the liquid
before we pour it all over a bowl of pawpaw, mango and apricot smoothie with spirulina, yummy!
We devour our portions as I rave about Atma’s
ability to “make things happen”.

Breathing exercises next, followed by deep
conversations as I go through my second jug of water to accelerate the detox
process.

I spend the rest of the afternoon reading and
walking around the garden until lunch time when we have our green juice (apple,
lemon, celery, mint and cucumber). Still too full to eat anything else!
The rest of the day is dedicated to
reflecting, journaling and reading some more – nothing hectic. My body is at a complete
relaxation state so I just sit back and let my mind freely wonder as I enjoy
the Barrydale mountainous views.
  I even
take notice of the ants on the ground.
  I
can’t see the birds but I can hear them chirping.
I must have been so peaceful because I
literally dozed off!
