I patiently and quietly wait to watch as the sun, like a naughty toddler who wants to check that no-one is watching, warmly and shyly peeps out. Within a blink of an eye, like a new-born baby entering space, out the sun slips out.
Its glow does not radiate for long. Its softness, which is like a yolk hardens in no time and before one knows it, its powerful rays overwhelms it and takes over – and suddenly light spreads all over in a restoratively sincere manner. Then, begrudgingly I accept that I am not the only recipient of this magnificent wonder – jealousy and selfishness sets in.
I slowly drive off as I force myself to admit that for one to fully enjoy this present (gift), the Light has to be shared with everything corporeal.
Speedily I drive off, heading towards the land of busi-ness, the land of clutter – where competition is a norm, where battles and races are considered healthy and wise – where silkiness is razorsharp and strength is not found in water reeds.
Talk about warmth, it will always pursue us . . . !
