Goodwill: the countdown has begun!

In 1994, December 26th was named a day of goodwill in South Africa. How can we forget what a remarkable and significant year 1994 was: a year that officially marked the end of apartheid for the rainbow nation!

In Christian terms, 26th December is the official South African public holiday that falls on the day after Christmas each year.

Therefore, even if I were not to attach any political, social, economic or religious connotation to this day, to me, this day has a significant meaning: there are five remaining days (one full hand) away from the end of the year.

It means that I must now wrap up my year’s activities and start planning for 2019.

So, today – of all days – I’ll make an effort to think, act and speak with care! My thoughts, actions and words have an irreversible impact on the year ahead. I speak nothing but life, success and prosperity.

What a valuably, significant day this is. Indeed this is a day which can potentially bring to life good intentions for the future.

Nothing but goodness envelopes this day, and the remaining five days. So, here’s to a happy day of goodwill: the day for giving especially to the less fortunate. The countdown has begun. What does this day mean to you?

To a very happy countdown to you and yours!
