But I am willing to go with popular belief&#8230;.in case someone takes a bite off my head!<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">&nbsp; <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;, &quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 200%;\">I mean, I just wonder how and why <em>Apple<\/em> is considered to be the world\u2019s leading brand beating the likes of <em>Microsoft, <\/em>and <em>IBM.<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;, &quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 200%;\">Of course I don\u2019t dismiss <em>Apple<\/em>\u2019s commitment to its vision of usability and performance (and elegance).<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">&nbsp; <\/span>But, does not <em>Google<\/em> has a bigger market share when it comes to presence and understanding &#8211; not to mention its commendable \u201cresponsibility function\u201d and its irreplaceable role it plays in the modern world?<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">&nbsp; <\/span>I mean, don\u2019t we all utilize <em>Google<\/em> to find the very information that states that <em>Google<\/em> is the world number 2 brand? Very ironic!<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;, &quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 200%;\">Aren\u2019t more and more people interacting with <em>Google<\/em> as a brand through various social IT tools such <em>Dell, Blackberry, IBM, Microsoft<\/em>, etc to access services and products (including <em>Apple<\/em> products) and therefore making it more popular, accessible and widely used?<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;, &quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 200%;\">Compared&nbsp;to <em>Google<\/em>, I would rather not mention the fact that <em>Apple<\/em> remains a luxury brand, it has a notable price tag attached to it, it targets a corporate environment &#8211; all of which are not targeted at winning the average consumer&#8217;s Attention, Interest, Desire and Action (AIDA principle).<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;, &quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 200%;\"><\/span><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;, &quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 200%;\">Admittedly so, the issues of brand metrics and equity are ongoing.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">&nbsp; <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;, &quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 200%;\">So, yes, monetary speaking <em>Apple<\/em> makes more money than most brands. Why can\u2019t we use plain English? It is wealthier. But does that give it a right to claim victory over consistently focused and unassuming brands such as<em> Google<\/em>?<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;, &quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 200%;\">Even if we went blindly with <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">Engager<\/i>\u2019s suggestion that Top brands should meet the following criteria: brand affinity, strong brand advocacy and brand knowledge and understanding &#8211; to me brand reach is still the make or break when it comes to celebrating conquest &#8211; and <em>Google<\/em> should fly the flag!<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;, &quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 200%;\">Perhaps&nbsp;it is&nbsp;about time we&nbsp;revisit our approach on brand metrics, or should profit margins continue to be the litmus test? Well, due to a lack of better articulation, it seems all I say is perhaps <em>Google<\/em> is the world\u2019s number 1 brand social partner of choice!<\/span><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To me Google is the world\u2019s number 1 brand.
