How can we forget what a remarkable and significant year 1994 was: a year that officially marked the end of apartheid for the rainbow nation!<\/p>\n<p>In Christian terms, 26th December is the official South African public holiday that falls on the day after Christmas each year.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, even if I were not to attach any political, social, economic or religious connotation to this day, to me, this day has a significant meaning: there are five remaining days (one full hand) away from the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p>It means that I must now wrap up my year\u2019s activities and start planning for 2019.<\/p>\n<p>So, today &#8211; of all days &#8211; I&#8217;ll make an effort to think, act and speak with care! My thoughts, actions and words have an irreversible impact on the year ahead. I speak nothing but life, success and prosperity.<\/p>\n<p>What a valuably, significant day this is. Indeed this is a day which can potentially bring to life good intentions for the future.<\/p>\n<p>Nothing but goodness envelopes this day, and the remaining five days. So, here&#8217;s to a happy day of goodwill: the day for giving especially to the less fortunate. The countdown has begun.
